Library Management, Maintenance, and Staffing
Does your library need help with regular maintenance and cost-effective filing service? Would you like current library personnel to be freed up to perform a higher level of duties? Does your staff need support with special projects: research (including legislative histories), cataloging, or clerical maintenance tasks such as loose-leaf filing catch-ups?
For those libraries lacking staff, LLC can provide a menu of services as needed.
Staffing is available (permanent, part-time, or project basis) for all types of library positions (Law librarians and Attorney/Librarians, Researchers, Library Assistants, Library Clerks).
Substitutions for a day or for vacations and on-leave staff can also be easily arranged.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I have to sign up for a package of services from LLC, or can I choose from a menu?
LLC offers a menu of complete library solutions. You may choose any services that you would like. LLC will adapt the service(s) to meet your particular needs.
If we need some loose-leaf filing help, do we have to sign up for maintenance on a regular basis or can it be just a one-time or occasional catch up?
LLC works around your particular filing need, whether it’s one or several hours on an occasional basis, or for a longer period of time.
Sometimes our library staff gets overwhelmed with reference and research projects. Can LLC give us some type of support when this happens?
Over the years, LLC has provided reference and research services that adapt to whatever the client needs:
Sometimes clients want a reference librarian onsite to do reference and research. They may want this person once or perhaps for an extended period of time, either part-time or full-time. Sometimes they want research done remotely, as with electronic research. Other times LLC research will be done onsite at various libraries with special collections (as in the case of legislative histories that are done at the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library and the Minnesota Historical Society Library). LLC adapts to any research need.
LLC has many consulting services. How do I know which one(s) will address issues that our library or organization has at this time? And can we select from a menu of services, rather than getting a comprehensive package?
LLC will be happy to meet with you to discuss your needs and discuss what service or services can cost-effectively address your particular need(s).
How do we get more detailed information on the various services LLC can provide?
